Available Positions - Business Development
Position: Account Executive
Locations: San Francisco, CA - Chicago, IL - New York, NY - Seattle, WA - Miami, FL - Los Angeles, CA - London, UK
Description: Account Executives are responsible for locating potential IP services customers in various markets. AEs work with Sales Engineers who provide technical support services during the sales process. AEs should be out-going and people-oriented, as this position requires interface with new and existing customers. Postion reports to regional (west/central/east) Sales Director.
Requirements: technical sales experience, preferably IP services.
Position: Sales Engineer
Locations: New York, NY - Seattle, WA
Description: Sales Engineers are responsible for providing technical resources to Account Executives. Each SE typically has 2-3 sales reps they work with. SEs are generally involved with client appointments, pre- and post-sales consulting, and oversee implementation for newly-ordered customer services. Sales Engineers should be very people-oriented and social in nature while having extensive engineering experience. Training for this position is provided, although applicants are expected to have a high level of knowledge about IP services. Reports to President Sales/Marketing and/or CTO.
Requirements: 3-5 years equivalent experience.
Position: Client Relations Manager
Locations: Los Angeles, CA - New York, NY
Description: The Client Relations Manager is responsible for providing day to day support to Mzima’s current customers and helping to grow their business with us. Each CRM typically has 150 accounts they work with and support. Client Relations Managers should be very people-oriented and social in nature while having technical experience. Training for this position is provided, although applicants are expected to have a high level of knowledge about IP services. Reports to Vice-President Sales/Marketing and/or CTO.
Requirements: 2-3 years of working for a technology company in customer service preferably telecom-related.
Position: Sales Director
Location: London, UK
Description: Mzima currently has an opening for the European Sales Director position. As Sales Director, you are responsible for driving revenue through development of your team, currently including three Account Executives and one Sales Engineer. The position also includes revenue assurance duties, as well as quarterly sales/marketing reviews at our headquarters. Position reports to VP Sales/Marketing.
Requirements: Direct sales and sales team management experience.

Position: Network Engineer (Level 1)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Description: Mzima is currently seeking network engineers to provide front-line customer support services in our Network Operations Center and general engineering troubleshooting. Level 1 engineers typically have set duty shifts in our NOC, but may include on-call periods as necessary. Reports to Director of Network Operations.
Requirements: Certification preferred, experience in a NOC environment.
Position: Transport Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Description: Mzima is currently seeking an experienced optical transport engineer to oversee the operation of our optical transport network. This position is in our Network Operations Center in Los Angeles. Position involves some travel and off-hours maintenance duties. Reports to Director of Network Operations.
Requirements: Extensive experience working with long-haul SONET, experience in a NOC environment.
Position: Field Technician
Locations: New York, NY - San Jose, CA - Seattle, WA
Description: On-call position requiring visits to area colocation facilities. Should be familiar with area facilities. Duties typically include hardware maintenance, fiber optic termination, and other facilities-based activities.
Requirements: Experience with optical facilities processes.
Position: Implementation Manager / Customer Service Provisioner
Locations: Los Angeles, CA
Description: The Implementation Manager is responsible for working with the customer sales team to provision new customer services onto the Mzima network. This position requires working closely with both the sales, sales engineering, and network engineering teams to build services requested by customers. As a dedicated IM you will be the customer's first point of contact when dealing with Mzima during service installation and activation, and will manage and oversee installation projects from start to finish.
Requirements: Strong interpersonal skils, project management.
Position: Software Developer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Description: Mzima develops its own proprietary route-analysis software. This involves a highly specialized set of skills, including BGP, source-based routing, route table analysis, Perl, MySQL, C++, etc. The system has a highly optimized back-end and a Java front-end.
